(from 1er June to 31 August)

The Reserve is situated in one of the most interesting natural areas in France: the mountains north of Grasse. This 100 000 hectare almost virgin landscape is a mosaic of moorland, forests and meadows, 1 400 metres above sea level. There are many diverse biotopes, influenced by the Alps to the north, the Mediterranean to the south and the Rhone to the west. In terms of biodiversity, the northern Grasse mountain area is one of the 5 most important regions of mainland France.
